3 Processes To Shift Out of Money Worry
I was supporting a beloved client through some deeply ingrained money and survival patterning and with her permission I’m sharing a small peek into some of what helped her shift.
This shift took her from having an already wildly beautiful life (including supportive partner) that she often felt she didn’t deserve and couldn’t fully enjoy or be present in enough to fully receive it.
One where she would often experience her nervous system response + thought pattern of “I NEED to stress about money” ….
…. To feeling fully supported, present and in celebration + enjoyment of the beautiful life she has.
Here’s what we did to create that shift.
PROCESS #1:
Calling out and naming truth.
For the first time in her life she actually does not need to worry about money at all (even if she didn’t work or do anything).
*After a lifetime of creating this deep neural pathway of thinking “I need to worry about money” and then saying out loud to me that she didn’t need to worry about it, it surprised her that she said it out loud when I reflected it back to her.
I asked her to repeat “I don’t need to worry about money anymore” out loud over and over again.
Her body got hot, sweaty and super uncomfortable.
We addressed the feelings coming up until her nervous system started to sink into the truth of the statement.
Do you have a beautiful physical reality that you can’t seem to fully receive? Do a check in to see if it’s due to guilt, shame, worthiness or fear of losing it.
PROCESS #2:
Release any vows/promises that were made in the past (that contradict with the present desire/truth).
It’s not unusual for us to make both conscious and unconscious vows in our lives, especially in intense or traumatic moments.
Example: After seeing a parent lose their successful business and go bankrupt and get depressed, you might vow to never create a successful business that you could lose.
Or
After watching a group of women say horrible things about another woman in church and leave her out of the group because she was financially successful and independent vs. a “good, feminine wife” you might vow to be feminine and reliant on a man for financial support instead of being financially independent.
Sometimes we can do a lot of powerful work but because of an underlying vow nothing seems to be shifting. Once we can release those vows things can start to move quickly or more easily.
Is there an area where there seems to be little progress for you? Close your eyes, tap into your inner wisdom and ask “have I made a vow around this?” and journal on what comes up.
PROCESS #3:
Switching Consciously from Need thoughts to Choice thoughts.
The thought pattern of needing to stress about money had been present for so long it literally felt like a survival need in her body AND mind, even though her reality had changed.
Because of this she was having the experience of being powerless about money instead of having choice around it.
I gave her the action step of using the word “choose” over and over again when it came to anything related to money.
“I choose to be responsible with money.”
“I choose to spend my money on this.”
“I am choosing to enjoy money.”
This even (and especially) included bringing in choice around the perceived “bad” thoughts.
“I am choosing to stress about money right now”
“I am choosing to think I need to worry about money for this one minute”
“I am choosing to be irresponsible with money right now.”
Letting even stress, worry or recklessness BE a CHOICE instead of something out of her control.
This was a big one. I could feel the shift in her already - the power coming back into her body.
Do you feel out of control or powerless in any particular areas or patterns? Try playing with this choice exercise above and see how it feels.

It’s important for me to mention that this is NOT my ‘signature process’ because when I work 1x1 with my clients in intensives and long term containers.
Your Soul and energy guides us to what will work best for you, and what will be most supportive for you (because trust me, it is not an exact path that’s always the same, even for very similar people and situations… even for the same person, different moments, phases of cycles, etc. require different approaches and processes).
Over the last decade + I’ve navigated hundreds of different client challenges with relationships, money, business, purpose and expression, hundreds of different ways.
I share these to inspire and guide you to processes you can try yourself to shift out of struggle (with money or anything else).
My favorite part of my work with clients is that because we work on a foundational level, the results roll in and the lessons integrate deeper and deeper over your lifetime. It just keeps getting better and better, and this work keeps on giving and giving.
If you’d like to explore experiencing this level of support with you business, life & leadership by working together 1x1, you can find out more and apply here now.
