2 ways to simplify your business for more pleasure
In these crazy times of technology, there's an abundance of opportunities for connection, systems, programs, and tech to-do's. All which can unknowingly (and knowingly) complicate, overwhelm and eat up huge chunks of time.
Here is one new and one tried and true way to simplify your business so you can have more time to play.
#1. Autoresponders!
I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like I'm attached at the hip to my inbox. I am also willing to admit I am kind of (totally) addicted to checking it all day long. In attempts to ween myself off, simplify and still provide great support to those reaching out this is what I'm trying:
I've made this my email autoresponder for any emails coming into my business inbox.
P.S. Inspired by Alexandra Franzen - she is a golden nugget for anyone wanting to simplify their communication.
"Hello Gorgeous!
Thanks for reaching out.
In attempts to simplify, be efficient and have time for pleasure, play and creation I'm going to try and read your mind (before you even send this... ooo!)
I've pre-answered some of the most common questions I get (right below). If you're emails falls into one of those questions - well consider yourself answered - bam!
If not, or if you're a current client, in the media or one of my snazzy collaborative business partners - you'll get a response ASAP.
In joy,

#2. Scheduling - Let it go.
What do you have on your plate right now that
a.) you hate/feel obligated to do?
b.) you committed to when it felt good...but now it doesn't?
c.) seems like a good opportunity ... but there seems to be a lot of those and this one isn't a 100% "have to do this right now and feels really inspiring and awesome" opportunity?
d.) is more work than reward (this goes for clients, associates, friends, assistants, employees, programs, systems, etc.)?
Okay, now brainstorm ways you can delegate what you dislike (or take it off your plate in any way) and let go of the commitments, opportunities and people/things that are no longer a good for this moment - no explanations, excuses, stories or drawn out emails necessary. Keep it short, sweet and to the point. ** For a, b and d: There can be room, with really clear communication (with yourself and others involved), to shift your experience. So first you may want to ask yourself what you'd need in order to feel good about the situation.
Pick at least 1 thing you are going to do this week to simplify your business/life to make room for more pleasure and joy. Have fun!
