2 Tips for More Time & Energy (and new hairdo!)
Today we're talking about two tips that will bring more energy and more time into your business so you can run a business AND go for a long walk along the beach, go on that date, take that pole dancing class or read that book at the park. Or in my case take an afternoon off to get my hair did.
By ignoring these 2 "tips" you are literally wasting your time and energy and depriving someone else of a chance to use their gifts!
Once you find your groove with these 2 particular things you will feel like a million bucks, have an extra (confidence) spring in your step and feel more clear about what makes you special and unique too!
My first tip is to focus more on your strengths.
*One of my strengths is clearly NOT taking photos...I usually leave that up to the pro's but wanted to share a little sneak peak for those of you who have also been contemplating a summer short cut. It feels goood!
I don't know about you, but I growing up I was taught to be really well rounded. I spent a lot of my time strengthening my weaknesses and trying to get better at the things I wasn't good at. I stressed out so much over math and french (I failed math and my french teacher highly recommend I not pursue french any longer...ouch...with glasses like these how could I fail!).
I was spending all my time and energy trying to push up my grades in these areas that I was not naturally good at instead of really focusing on my strengths, the things that came most naturally to me, and using those even more.
I know many of my clients have experienced this too. Have you fallen into the trap of being tempted to be a jack of all trades and master of none?
Now that you aren't in high school anymore, and you have (or are going to have) your own business, I want you to really focus on what comes most naturally to you.
How you can bring in more of your strengths and accentuate + utilize them more in your business? These are the things that really set you apart and it's going to allow you to take the path of least resistance in your business because your strengths are what will take the least amount of effort and energy.
P.S. By trying to help everyone with everything and spreading your time and energy thin you are not only draining yourself but you are also not getting known for that special something that you really CAN do best!
Tip #2 is to delegate at least one of your weaknesses this week (I guess that's a tip and an action step all in one!).
If there's a weakness that you feel like you've been spending a lot of time learning about and really stressing over getting better at, this is one thing that I want you to delegate to someone else.
*Don't get me wrong - it's super important to learn and grow. What I am saying is that if it's something that someone CAN do for you then let it go. Just let it go.
This is especially true if it's something techy, design or numbers related. I want you to take action and find someone who can help you. It allows you to let go of spending all your precious time on your weakness and allows someone else to use their strengths.
