I’ve found time and time again that when I go through this process and get really clear on what I want, I can then make it a reality very quickly. Then I found the same was true for my clients.
I’m Allison Braun, Business & Lifestyle Success Coach for (under-valued) coaches & healers. Six years ago, I was making $12/hr working full-time at a job where I didn’t feel appreciated or like I was using even a quarter of my gifts, I spent the rest of my time starting my business.
It seemed like I was always facing a never-ending to-do list (which there was), and I felt confused on where I should be spending my precious few free hours each day. Not to mention, I had been accustomed to the industry standard pricing of $x/hr which didn’t feel expansive to me. It felt like I’d have to work with way more clients than I wanted to (or could even handle) in order to make anything close to what I wanted.
When I heard about Lifestyle Design from my very first coach, my life changed. I finally felt like I had permission to go for what I really wanted... and that I had the resources to do it. Since then I have been refining and using my Business Pleasure Map® methodology to help me and my clients know what’s needed financially to live the life we really want (which means we know exactly where each dollar we make is going when it comes in), how to spend our time to get the best results with the most pleasure, and how to make sure each day feels dreamy and meaningful.
This process has allowed me to really live my dream, which has also allowed me to be of deep service to my Soul Mate Clients (of which I now have a year-long waiting list) and use my unique gifts and skills all while working on my own schedule from wherever I want (which is usually at a variety of my favorite coffee shops in Sayulita Mexico, Bali, Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or my hometown of Saskatoon).
I get to travel with my husband, family and friends, host retreats in luxurious locations with clients and friends that I adore, give back to the causes that I feel the most passionate about, and have plenty of free time to read romance novels, write in cafes, catch a matinee show, have an afternoon swim in the ocean... or an amazing cuddle session with my man.
It hasn’t been luck. I’ve planned it out and the process I’m sharing with you here will help you do the same. In addition to what I’ve just shared, going through this process has also allowed me to double my business each year, creating a multiple 6-figure business while maintaining the same amount of part time hours and flow – all because I had my Business Pleasure Map® prepped and ready to go.

Now is the BEST time! It’ll be easier to get your business started on the right track this way. *It’s easier to start a business knowing what you want it to look and feel like than it is to have to change everything halfway through.
I can’t stand programs that take more time than they are worth. I’ve designed BPM to be fun, efficient and to be done over a short period of time. Listening to the actual modules will take a total of about 2 hours. A lot of the work will be done while you’re listening to the modules, however there will be a couple of exercises that you’ll need to do on your own which can take anywhere from an additional 4-8 hours. All in all, it probably won’t take you any longer than 10 hours, which is why I love doing it retreat style over a weekend or in smaller chunks over a week.
That depends: Are you absolutely overjoyed with how you’re spending your time and money? Are you spending your time in your business with the amount of clients/projects you want? Do you make all the money you need to enjoy all the things you want and need? Are you enjoying the journey? If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you may not need the BPM. If you answered no to any of those questions, then you absolutely will notice a huge difference going through and implementing your personalized BPM.
This will be an essential step in making the necessary changes and transitions in your life and business to ensure that you are truly enjoying how you’re spending your time AND that you’re making enough to support yourself and to enjoy all the extras you want. Quite possibly! A huge part of creating your personalized Pleasure Map is a big mindset shift – realizing what you really want and planning to make it a reality. You definitely don’t need to have your own business to do this. There are portions in which you may have slightly less flexibility than an entrepreneur (but maybe not). As long as you’re dedicated to creating what you want and are willing to stay open-minded as to how it can be created, this can be a big game-changer for you.
