How to Get People to Want to Work With YOU
Often when healers, coaches and consultants are starting their business (and even years into it!) they are so excited and SO passionate about the tools they have (and have spent years and thousands of dollars acquiring) that they end up focusing on just that. The tools, bells, whistles and how they can help anyone that’s willing. (Yes, I totally did this too).
Unfortunately this usually does NOT lead to increased desire to work with you (unless you’re a rare exception with a really cool story and infectious passion).
There may be the occasional person that is looking for a Reiki Practitioner, Health consultant, Angel Card Reader or the like, but typically those people are looking for and expecting an hourly rate or a single session.
Assuming you want a business that:
Helps those you are really BEST at helping, which usually includes people you actually really like.
Isn’t just a hobby but actually generates sustainable income.
Has people asking to work with you instead of having to explain & justify WHY they should work with you and pay your prices.
Doesn’t drain you because you’re always working to make ends meet.
Here are 5 ways to increase desire for your program and to have others wanting to work with YOU:
Feel really good about what you’re offering, how you’re offering it and what you’re charging. It’s got to feel good and supportive to you. If you aren’t having a good time or aren’t feeling properly compensated for the energy you’re putting out – people WILL feel that…and they won’t be attracted.
Focus on the RESULT your IDEAL client most wants instead of the pathway that you use to get them there. The more tangible the better. Think about the services you’ve been willing to invest in and what you weren’t as well as why.Example: You might be willing to invest $15 in a yoga class, MAYBE $40 for a private class. The experience is great and super beneficial but hard to justify spending $100-$300+ on, right? Whereas a lower back pain specialist who helps people easily relieve their lower back pain could easily charge $500, $1000, $2000+ for a program designed specifically for that. Make sense?
Listen. Really listen to what your people are looking for. Ask them, hear them, acknowledge them and then give them what they want. Focus specifically on those you can help best AND enjoy working with the most. You can’t help everyone, so you might as well focus on those you’ll enjoy working with and who will receive the most benefit. The more you listen and speak directly to these people the more response you will get.
Get visible. If they can’t see you they can’t hire you. This means not being afraid to share what you’ve got going on publicly. With friends, social media, in networking, and connecting with other entrepreneurs + your ideal clients. Get out there, share your pictures, your videos, your writing and your offerings. Visibility often has a lot to do with inner work as well. Be observant of fears you have around being “seen.”
People love to be a part of something & social proof is something that’s becoming increasingly important. Be desirable – or rather live by example, and get in front of other people. Create a community that stands for something and that others feel good getting behind and sharing that they are a part of. Another great way to bring about social proof is testimonials, which you can share in a variety of different ways.
Implementing these 5 strategies will allow others to really be drawn to you and get how you can help them (or others they know). This will instantly start to increase desire to work with you as well as the willingness to invest in themselves through you – so more people can get the help they need.
